My husband told me that when I am dead he is going to have me posed nude in a fetal position holding a pillow in my casket. Do you think a funeral director would prepare someone that way?

Yes, absolutely. At least where I am employed as a funeral director, we would certainly be willing to prepare someone in any way the family felt necessary. Unfortunately, in the world we live in, your body would not be available for vieweing if you were in such a position. Your husband would be able to view, but because of the sensitivity of such a request, your funeral would be a “closed casket” funeral. In my funeral parlour, we are firm believers in the fact that the funeral is about the family, not us. We are happy to accommodate some of the what would seem the very weirdest requests. But if it helps someone to grieve and accept the loss of a loved one, then we are all for it. Good question!
