My HP No.82 Ink Cartridges will not print properly, whats wrong?
HP Printers that use these cartridges also employ the use of separate print heads. The cartridges are simply plastic housings of ink, while the print heads are quite complex parts that take the ink from the cartridge and squirt it onto the paper. These print heads do actually wear out and a regarded as a consumable that should be replaced from time to time by the user. In 99.9% of cases when people are having trouble with such issues, it turns out to be a defective print head rather than the ink cartridge itself, irrespective of whether the cartridge is an original or generic. However before replacing the print heads, we advise to try and force ink through the print heads to clear the blockage.
