My home has two levels. Is it better to install a ductless heat pump on the upper or lower level?
All things being equal, ductless heat pumps are typically installed on the lower level because heat naturally rises and because the lower portion of the home is often significantly cooler and could benefit from additional heat provided. In addition, lower levels tend to be damper during the summer months and a ductless heat pump can remove this excess humidity more effectively when operated in either their air conditioning or dehumidification (i.e., “dry”) mode.
