My gradebook seems to produce inaccurate percentage and overall grades. What should I do?

When the student misses assignments and quizzes (–because the points for the missed assignments and quizzes are not counted in the total), it artificially increases the percentages and, hence, the overall grades. Angel does not count empty grades the same as zeros. In other words, if you don’t enter a zero for a student’s assignment, then Angel will NOT add the possible points that could have been earned into the total points it used to calculate percentages and, hence, grades. This means that you will end up with inaccurate percentages and grades. The fix is simple–make sure all missing assignments have a zero grade. Here is a simple solution to the problem. Go Manage tab, Gradebook, click the Preferences link, and then click Treat Ungraded Items as Zero check box.
