My friend used betadine or alcohol or Dial Soap on her or his piercing and it healed just fine. Why don you tell me to use that?
While betadine or Dial Soap might have worked for your friend, we do not feel the use of these products is conducive to the healing of your piercing. To quote our piercing after care sheet, “CHEMICALS WILL NOT HELP YOUR BODY HEAL FASTER! Quite the opposite, in fact. Chemicals of any kind will upset the balance within your newly forming cells and create a condition in which your piercing will heal much more slowly (if at all).” In other words, if your friend managed to heal a piercing with betadine or Dial Soap, your friend was lucky. If you yourself have healed piercings using these products and have had no problems (or thought you had no problems) please try our aftercare before returning to what you have used before.
