My friend is interested in being a leader in the PHSA, but is not a student at UCLAS School of Public Health. Can my friend run for election and be a member?
No, only currently registered and enrolled students in the School of Public Health are permitted to participate in the PHSA. If you are a registered graduate student in the UCLA School of Public Health, you may apply to run for election as a Departmental Representative, by downloading the application and returning it as indicated by the deadline of October 17, 2008 at 5:00 PM. Online elections will be held in which only registered School of Public Health graduate students may vote; the eligible voters will be notified of the voting mechanism in October 2008. In addition, in the Spring Quarter, elections will be held for the new Executive Board of PHSA. Details will be announced along with applications at that time.
