No, only currently registered and enrolled students in the University of California, Los Angeles are permitted to participate in the AMSA Pre-Medical Chapter. Registered students in pre-medical studies at another college or university may join that school’s AMSA chapter or if there is none, then seek to form a new pre-medical chapter with help of national AMSA. Others may join national AMSA in one of two membership categories: People who are post-graduate or “post-bacc” students from an accredited U.S. institution and are interested in pursuing medicine as a career or supporting the goals of national AMSA may apply to join national AMSA as a “Premedical Student” and others may apply to join as a “Supporting Affiliate.
