My family will not be able to complete the FAFSA application by the April 1, 2009 deadline. What should I do?
If your family is unable to complete the FAFSA by the April 1, 2009 deadline, a written explanation of extenuating circumstances should be submitted to the Office of Financial Aid as soon as possible. However, if at all possible, you should still complete the FAFSA with estimated 2007 tax information. Once actual 2008 tax forms have been completed, you can then correct the estimated information. Even if you notify us that you will be applying late, we can not guarantee full funding.
