My faculty member certifed her FEC but now has discovered a change in effort requires her to recertify. Can she make the corrections and download a new corrected FEC from eFECS?
If salary or cost share changes occur after the original certification and submission, the FEC will need to be manually corrected and recertified by the faculty member. An FEC generated from the eFECS system showing the change will not be accepted once the original FEC has been signed. To do this, the department uses the departmental copy of the originally certified FEC, writes “Revised” at the top of the printed form, makes the required change(s) and attaches the documentation supporting the revision. The faculty member then either initials and dates the change or re-signs and re-dates the form in ink and returns it to the FEC Coordinator for submission to MAAi.
