My F150 (97-03 truck or 97-02 Expedition/Navigator) has the keyless entry pad on the handle. Is a Jimmi Jammer plate necessary or will it even fit these handles?

Yes the plate will fit, and yes it is necessary! The keyless entry pad is fastened to the handle using only one screw, and fastens to the plastic handle which can easily be cracked or broken. The plate for these vehicles helps hold the keypad in place, even if a thief is pushing on the keypad with a screwdriver. A popular method of entry is to just knock the keypad into the door and then use a screwdriver to detach the lock rod to open the door.
