It is possible to mix Equilibrium Arena Footing with any type of existing footing, but we do not recommend this. One of the advantages of our product mixed with sand is that it reduces dust, watering and harrowing. The organics in your existing footing break down much more quickly than sand and because it is very light the particles are easily kicked up by the horses and float in the air for a long time making the arena dusty.
