My EWI3020m, EWI3030m, EWI3000m, and EWV2000 shows random letters in the display and the patches sound weird and the unit just doesn work right?
This usually indicates that the memory in the unit has been corrupted (usually due to a failing internal backup battery). You probably need to have the internal backup battery replaced. This requires complete disassembly and soldering and is a job best left to a professional. In the US, Patchman Music can do this for you. After the battery has been replaced, you will need to initialize then reload your sounds (see next section).
