My ePrompter keeps showing that I have 50 unread messages for one of my accounts, but I know that my account has at least twice as many messages as that. Why is this happening?
A. The ePrompter email notification program only reads the first page of messages for any web based email service. Web based email services such as Hotmail and Yahoo allow a user to set the number of messages (within certain limits) that he or she wants shown per page. In your case, your web based email service has been set at a 50 messages per page limit, therefore that is the number of messages that ePrompter will retrieve. It is important to note that the first page of each web based email service will always show the most recent mail, and therefore, only the most recent messages will be reflected on ePrompter. BTW, as far as we can ascertain, you cannot change the per page limit for AOL – it appears to be set at a 25 messages per page limit.
