My Empanadas (Salteas) require the addition of a slice of hardboiled egg and sliced olives to the mixture just before the Empanada (Salteas) is closed. Can I do this?
Yes. The SA-21 PieMaster is adapted to safe additions of extras though the Deposit-And-Wait system. Normally after the filling is deposited onto the dough, the filling head shuts off and the molds automatically roll inward and down, thus forcing the dough to wrap around the filling. With our deposit and wait system activated, standard on the PieMaster Model SA-21. the filling is deposited, the filling tube shuts off and the moldsets do not turn. They wait for a signal. Each deposit is initiated by depressing 2 buttons simultaneously. After the deposit drops the machine interrupts its deposit mode and waits for another depression of the (2) start buttons. This manually controlled interval allows insertion of extra ingredients or adjustment the filling drop position. This technique is designed to keep fingers out of the moldsets when the timers are functioning. After the additions are made, the two buttons are pushed again and the machine completes the assembly of the turnover.
