My drug test was positive from eating poppy seeds and court will not believe me. Needing help, please!!!?
An opiate addiction is not only about low-life people, there are many hard working people out there that don’t know what they are getting into with opiates, they think they can use them as a recreational drug but later find that’s impossible. No one wakes up one day and says I want to be a drug addict, right? I know about opiate addiction and yes the poppy seed bagel will have a positive affect, but the fact is that you would have to eat a pound of poppy seeds to have a positive urinalysis. The judge probably knows this too. I’m not trying to rain on your parade but facts are facts. I got this information from one of my opiate addiction counselors a couple of years back, he also had his doctrine. Good luck hope you can get the information you need from another source, look up methadone today, you can probably find an article there that can help prove your cause,and if you don’t find an article I’m almost sure you can ask the question and there will be someone that can answer it for you
I’m not certain, but I think a hair test would show long term usage. Poppy seeds might not even register. Whether or not the judge will care, IDK. You can always fight the decision. Get a lawyer, or even a public defender if you wish to fight it.
