Gee! It’s gonna take a lot to answer your question. It is rather complicated. But I will surely give it a shot. 🙂 Your dog is “humping” your child in order to establish dominance. In the dog world everyone has a place. There is 1, or in the case of humans, 2 – 4+, of pack leaders. The others are pack followers. Pack followers are just fine being that. They just need to know that is their job. If others are not taking the pack leader job, then the dog you have will try out for the leader position. In his eyes, the world cannot function without pack leader and followers. The humping is not an aggressive act. First, you can turn on the National Geographic channel and watch several episodes of The Dog Whisperer. Cesar Millan often talks about this same problem you are experiencing and shows how to correct it.
