My doctor wants to perform an epiduroscopy or myeloscopy. Is this the same type of procedure?

Few physicians perform myeloscopy or epiduroscopy anymore, simply because the insurance companies could not validate its effectiveness. Results with myeloscopy have not been judged to be any better epidural steroid injection. Unless something more can be performed with a myeloscope than has previously been done, it will most likely fall out of use gradually.
