Yes, in our experience it can. In my opinion the cause of an auto-immune dysfunction of the thyroid appears to be an infiltration of thyroid tissues with some form of virus [usually herpes or Epstein-Barr], or Candida or possibly the liver fluke. This infection causes the immune system to make antibodies against the infected cells which then proceed to slowly destroy the gland. Rather than destroy the gland with RAI or surgery, intelligence calls for eliminating the offending pathogen. This can be accomplished with Stage One of the Thyroid Regeneration Program. This protocol has successfully eliminated thyroid auto-immune dysfunctions without any need for medical mutilation of the gland.
