My doctor has changed my blood pressure medication and advised me to have my blood pressure taken regularly. Does the Wichita Fire Department have a program to help me?
Yes. Started in 1984, the REACH program (Respond Early And Control Hypertension) is a joint program between the Wichita Fire Department, the Sedgwick County Fire Department, and the Wichita Heart Association and has received national acclaim. You may go to any city or county fire station on Saturdays between 10:00 AM and 12:00 Noon and have your blood pressure taken. See Fire Station Locations for the nearest fire station.
