My dependent is turning 22. What are his/her options?
A. Except in cases of disability, dependent eligibility ends on his/her 22nd birthday. Your dependent will have the option of self-paid temporary continuation of coverage (TCC), or can convert to individual coverage with Group Health. To apply for TCC, you must inform your employing office of your child’s loss of FEHB eligibility within 60 days by contacting your agency’s health benefits officer.
