My deductible for the Prescription Drug Plan cross applies between the retail and the mail order programs. What does that mean?

For all retirees in the Standard or Premium Medical Plan, the deductible under the Prescription Drug Plan is $115 for individuals, and $230 for family coverage. You can satisfy this deductible through the retail program and/or the mail order program. For example, if you purchase your first prescription in 2009 through retail and it costs $40, you will need to spend another $75 in prescriptions, either through retail or mail order, before you will have satisfied your $115 deductible. After you have reached the annual deductible you will pay the applicable copay for each of your prescriptions through both retail and mail order. Effective January 1, 2007, participants in the Princeton Medicare Plan no longer have to satisfy a prescription drug plan deductible.
