I flip houses and getting the smoke smell out is paramount – several times the owners have left Upright Pianos – they’re hard to move. You move it away from the wall, take the back and front covers off (so you can see the inside) and get a couple high velocity fans blowing on it. I open all the windows of my houses and do the same thing. Every so often, hit the area in back of the feed fans with a good, sustained spray of lysol or febreeze or something like that. It’ll take a couple days of that, at least. Maybe a week.
