My daughter has been writing notes to her friends saying she has done sexual acts. I think she is just trying to impress the wrong crowd, but how can I be sure?
You can`t be sure unless your daughter is honest with you. Why not find a time to get away with her for an afternoon to have a heart to heart talk about what you`ve found out? Be prepared for her reaction to just how you know about the notes! Try to listen calmly without judgement and then help her to come to some decisions about what she`s been doing – or says she`s been doing. She`s got some choices to make, and it`s ok to gently guide, but don`t lecture or preach! You need to tell her the truth about the consequences she could be facing. And always make sure she knows you love her completely, no matter what!
