No. The Satellite Return System can be configured for DirecDuo operation so you can continue to receive your DIRECTV programming. (Specific hardware requirements can vary by geographic area.) It is not necessary to keep your current DirecDuo dish for DIRECTV service, although you may, and that is your option.
