My cuckoo clock isn working. How do I fix it?

I have an old pendulum clock I inherited and it didn’t work properly for years. I thought that it had had its day and out of desperation I saturated the mechanism by spraying it with a very light sort of oil, used mainly for freeing up rusted nuts and bolts. It worked, and the clock hasn’t stopped ticking for about five years. Yours could be the same.

You might think that your clock is level, but it probably is not. Move it ever “so” slightly in one direction. Do this several times. If this doesn’t work, do the same thing in the other direction from the original spot!

It needs some clock oil on it. Mostly on the part that moves the most. Hint: A little oil goes a long way. Just a drop or two.
