– Answer: Yes, this is normal. Rather than supporting CPU fan control function via the adjustment of fan supply voltage (also known as DC mode), this motherboard has implemented a new and more advanced CPU fan control technique named PWM, which allows smoother and more accurate control of CPU fan speed, which successfully reduces the unnecessary noise generated by suddent raise and drop of CPU fan speed due to adjustment of CPU fan supply voltage. Please kindly use 4-pin PWM controlled CPU fan to enable CPU Q’Fan support on this motherboard.
