My course gradebook is out of order. How can I change the order ?

You can re-order the student list by clicking on the little triangle at the top of any column in the gradebook. To arrange alphabetically by last name click the triangle above the names. To arrange in ascending order for any particular graded item just click the triangle above that column. The “permanent” order of the columns is controlled by the “Manage Items” tool. You can temporarily re-order the columns using the “Sort Items By” and “Filter Items By” tools. To restore the permanent order you can either exit and re-enter the gradebook or select Sort Items By: Category and Filter Items By: All. If you have downloaded your gradebook to an Excel workbook you can rearrange the rows and columns pretty much any way you’d like and Blackboard can still accept an upload. There are two exceptions, however: column A should always contain the original name identifiers and row 1 should always contain the column headings. And there should not be anything in any rows below the last student’s grade
