My copy of Dictate keeps crashing when I attempt to create a profile. Whats going on?

One possible cause of the profile crash is a bad Data Disk. This happened to a number of Dictate Disks that were shipped before March 31, 2008. We have created a Dictate Data First Aid Utility to help fix this (see below).
