My computer is not accepting my NetID and/or password for UMASS-SECURE1X. Whats wrong?
Although your computer may detect the UMASS-SECURE1X network in your vicinity, if you haven’t configured your connection using our setup wizard (XPressConnect) or our manual configuration instructions, your computer’s attempts to connect to the network will fail. Your computer may even report that it has successfully connected to UMASS-SECURE1X, but you may then find that you don’t have actual Internet access or that it is severely limited. To configure your computer to connect to UMASS-SECURE1X, connect to the UMASS wireless network, open your Web browser, and attempt to access a Web site. You will be automatically directed to the Wireless at UMass Amherst login page. Click the Connect to UMASS-SECURE1X with our setup wizard button, log in using your OIT Account NetID and password, then follow the instructions on the screen. You can also configure your computer manually using our UMASS-SECURE1X documentation.
