My computer has problems streaming, which is simultaneously downloading and playing audio and/or video directly from the Internet, RealMedia files using Media Player Classic. How can I fix that?
First make sure you have properly installed the latest version of the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack or Real Alternative. Secondly, make sure you have a recent version of Microsoft DirectX installed. Thirdly, there are some settings for Media Player Classic that you can change: Start Media Player Classic and click on View in the top menu, then click on Options… (the last item) and then click on Output (under Playback). Then put the settings for DirectShow Video and RealMedia Video to System Default (the first option). Then close Media Player Classic and try again to play streaming RealMedia files. If it still doesn’t work, you could try the other RealMedia Video options too (DirectX 7 and DirectX 9). Another setting that you can change: Start Media Player Classic and click on View in the top menu, then click on Options… (the last item) and then click on Formats (under Player). Then put the Real-Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) handler to RealMedia.
