My computer grants me access to student records. Does this mean I am authorized to view all the available records and do not need to follow the KU Student Records Policy or FERPA?

No. The confidentiality provisions still apply, and a School Official should only access a students record if a legitimate educational interest exists with respect to that student, and only as to those portions necessary.
