My company/school uses Brightmail for Spam detection. How can I configure Mozilla to work with Brightmail?
To configure Mozilla to work with Brightmail, you will need to create a message filter that looks for the string X-Spam-Flag: Yes in the message header. To create this filter, do the following: – In Mozilla Mail, select Tools -> Message Filters. Choose the mail account you want to use the filter for from the dropdown list under Filters for. – Click on the New button and a window for creating a new message filter will open. – From the dropdown list on the left, select Customize. In the Customize Headers dialog that opens, enter X-Spam-Flag under New Message header, click on Add and then on OK. – In the message filter Window you can now select X-Spam-Flag from the dropdown list on the left. Set this header to be YES as shown in the image below. Now all you need to do is tell Mozilla what to do (e.g. mark as junk, move, delete) with messages that have been marked as Spam by Brightmail and you are set.
