My Clairol hair color is to dark. How can I lighten it?
This happens. Wash it and wait at least 2 weeks before you color it again. Next time, buy a lighter shade. Your hair never comes out the same color as the box. Thats why i go to Sallys instead. Pretty much the color you choose is what you get. It was alot to do with the volume of the cream you use, Most boxes only have a 20 lift- which means dark, You can go all the way to a 40 lift, but have to be careful or else you could go blonde or red! Sallys is a beauty supply store that sells to beauty shops and regular people like me! They sell tubes of color and bottles of cream (20-40 vol.). The sales reps are very friendly and helpful. There should be one in your area. I have had my hair all shades but have now settled for Dark Cherry brown. Less roots and looks great! Good luck!
