My child(ren) has Healthy Families Health Insurance. Why are you pursuing the non-custodial parent for insurance?
Under state and federal law, the Dept of Child Support Services is required to obtain and enforce an order for medical support for children receiving publicly-funded health care, which includes the Healthy Families Program. The non-custodial parent will be required to provide medical insurance coverage IF it is available at reasonable cost through the non-custodial parents employer.
