My child requires an aide to participate in the general education classes. Does the adult assistance need to be written on the IEP?
Yes, the IEP must be written specific to define the requirements necessary in order to meet the child’s educational needs. A statement of the special education and related services and supplementary aids and services to be provided to the child, or on behalf of the child , and a statement of the program modification or supports for the school personnel that will be provided for the child must be included on the IEP.
