Referrals for speech devices come directly from NOCK’s Partnership Network. Currently, NOCK has one AAC (augmentative and alternate communication) partner, DynaVox Technologies, within that network. Your first step is to have your child evaluated by a speech and language pathologist to determine if an AAC device is appropriate and if so, which device is recommended. If a DynaVox device is recommended, you work directly with them to determine what funding is available. If traditional sources of funding are not available (e.g. insurance, Medicaid), DynaVox can make a referral to NOCK.
