My child has a Statement of Special Educational Needs. Does it affect Junior transfer?

If your child has a Statement you still have a right to express a preference about the school they attend. Your child’s Infant school should hold a Statutory Annual Review during the Autumn Term, to confirm arrangements for their transfer to Junior education. If your child needs to go to a particular school because there are special adaptations or facilities, we will name it on his or her Statement, otherwise we will consider preferences from the parents of pupils with a Statement in the same way as for other pupils.
