The rule is that the boundary for recruitment is the school district boundary. Therefore, Colonie Pop Warner has the exclusive right to recruit in the South Colonie Central School District only. A team cannot recruit or accept children from another area that has an active Pop Warner association except under specific circumstances. If a player wishes to join an Away team, there must be a written waiver from the Home Association President unless that Home association is not fielding a team at the level the child will be playing OR the child began Pop Warner involvement under such an arrangement and wishes to continue with that same Away association.
