Parents/guardians of students who are not enrolled in SFUSD may also request an assessment for their child. They will first need to provide proof of address. The District is required to assess students in all suspected areas of disability. This includes students who attend a private school and reside in San Francisco. Those whose address is outside of San Francisco (even if their child goes to a school in San Francisco), must submit their request to their local school district.
