My centrifugal pump pressure droping?

You haven’t mentioned where the pump is being used so I’ll assume your talking about a home water pump. I’ll also assume that there are no other symptoms such as short cycling or grit in the water. A hole in the well riser pump will dump water back into the well and prevent pressure from rising to its proper value. This can happen if an iron fitting has been used which has rusted through. An insufficient number of centralizers or ineffective torque arrestor is allowing the riser to rub against the well casing, resulting in a leak. A gradual drop in pump pressure may also be caused by severe scale formation within the impeller from water with a high iron content. This happens over a time period much shorter than the expected life span of the pump. (Normal wear also causes a pressure drop off but after years of operation instead of months) Scale build up effects the efficiency of the impeller and causes a gradual drop off in pressure as the scale builds up. In addition pump seals can be
