When your care service is set up, we always try to accommodate the times requested. However, this is not always possible, so we will inform you of when we can call and agree something either with your social worker, or directly with yourself. If the times of visits are very staggered, then please let us know and we will look into it. There are occasions when the carer may come across some problems during the round (he/she visits several people every day), it may be a traffic problem, or they may have found someone quite ill and needed to call a doctor or an ambulance, which means they are held up. We always try to let you know if the carer is running late, but sometimes an emergency crops up and we can’t do that. The Commission for Social Care Inspectorate tell us that we must visit you within 2 hours of the agreed time (either way), so please let us know if this is not happening.
