My card doesn work in the vending machines, but works everywhere else. Whats wrong?
There are two possibilities: 1) You’re trying to use your card in a non-residence hall building and you don’t have any Redbird Debit Dollars. Vending machines in the residence halls will accept Flex Dollars, but vending machines in the academic buildings only accept Redbird Debit Dollars. 2) You have hit the vending limit set up to protect against having an account cleaned out if the card is stolen. The card will automatically shut off if it is swiped over the limit. Please contact the Redbird Card Office at 438-2273 to have this reset. You can also request to have a flag set to bypass the shut off, but this cancels the account protection if the card is stolen.
