My blue bin has wasnt emptied today and I was left a tag to say it was contaminated. What should I do?
A. Your blue bin is for glass bottles and jars, plastic bottles and cans. If it is the first time that your blue bin has been contaminated, we can empty your blue bin using a household waste collection vehicle however because some of the material in the blue bin is not collected for recycling, the contents of your blue bin will not be recycled. To arrange a collection, call: 0114 273 4567 or email: sheffieldenquiries@veolia.co.uk If you want the contents of your blue bin to be recycled, please remove any items that shouldnt be in the blue bin and put it out for collection on your next collection day. Please note: If this is a second or subsequent occasion of contamination you will need to remove the offending items and wait until your next collection day.
