My wife hasn’t figured out how to make me clean either. If your wife is depressed she really can’t and yelling at her and trying to motivate her is just going to make the depression worse. She’s going to need medication or time to get over the depressive phase. Yelling at her and focusing on her negatives allows her to hate herself and dwell on why she’s so bad. This can make her even more depressed or even lead to a suicide. If your wife is manic your problem is probably that she’s so focused in on something else that she can’t possibly pry herself away. She’s craving as much stimulus as she can get and doing the dishes isn’t exactly exciting. Try providing her with a lot of stimulus while she’s cleaning. Turn on the TV, play some music, read to her, or whatever you can think of. By the way, I mean all of those things together. And, not or. Try to challenge her to a cleaning race or something as well. Who can do their half of the dishes faster? Can she vacuum all of the floors before
