Usually if a toe is broken, the base of the toe is bruised or black. Doctors cannot do anything for a broken toe, so save your money there. Best thing is to wear a good shoe, maybe cut the top of the toe area out of it. Open toe shoes do not give side support. so the opening in the shoe will allow it a little freedom. Otherwise you can tape two toes together tightly as long as you have a cotton ball in-between them. It will prevent blistering from rubbing together.
