If your baby did not pass the hospital screening, or the screening done by the midwife, in one or both ears, it is important to know that this does not mean that your child is deaf or hard of hearing. It does mean that they should be tested in a different way with the AABR equipment in the community. You will be contacted by your local IHP to arrange this appointment.
