He’s teething, and it feels good for him to press his gums against his hand. Give him something cool to teethe on. His teething has nothing to do with your hair falling out. However, when a woman is pregnan (and especially when she’s on prenatal vitamins) she experiences increased hair (and nail) growth. Eventually, once you have the baby, that growth stops, and the new hair that started to grow eventually falls out because each hair follicle only has a certain life span. So the shedding is entirely natural. You will probably also notice your nails getting slightly thinner and growing more slowly over time.
