My amplifier and DVD player both support the DTS format however when I play a DVD with a DTS soundtrack I can only get the picture but no sound? Please Help?
You have several options you need to check to try and rectify the problem. Firstly make sure the DVD player is connected properly using either a coaxial or Optical/Digital cable. Secondly ensure that the DVD disc that you are playing has a DTS soundtrack on it, and that it has been selected from the Audio setup menu on the disc itself. One of the most common reasons for not getting a DTS signal is that the DVD player has not been configured to output a DTS signal. This can be checked on the on-screen menu of the DVD player, normally audio/digital output, which needs to be set to DTS or bitstream output. Your final check should be on the amplifier itself ensuring that the input you have chosen is configured to automatically pick up a received signal, check your manual for details.
