My affiliate program stats don match my LinkFacts stats! What gives?
Don’t panic! Because every affiliate program tracks their links differently, it becomes difficult to arrive at the same statistics as other programs. Our goal is to provide you with accurate figures of your link traffic. However, your affiliate program may track visitors in a different way. Unique IP addresses and cookies may be employed differently. Downtime can be a factor, as well as rejected or filtered traffic that your affiliate program does not accept. However, if you decide that there is a significant difference between your LinkFacts statistics and your affiliate program, it might be time to investigate a little more thoroughly. We like to believe that most affiliate programs out there are run honestly, so if you do decide to start asking questions, please bear in mind that there is, in all likelihood, a reasonable explanation for the discrepancy.
