My 1997 Volvo 850 ashtray came out when I replaced the bulb in my cigar lighter.How do I replace it?
All I can tell you is to find someone with a lot patience. I work on Volvo’s for a living and when my wife did the same thing to my 850 it took me quite a while to figure out how to get it together. The only hint I can give you is to remove the whole assembly from the car. The spring is mounted in its holder, one end is pulled out to its mount on the moving tray, and the little lock plate/ wedge holds it together.
